XI BARBATE TUNA GASTRONOMY WEEK
This gastronomic event will take place from 9 to 13 May and will have two different spaces: the fairground area and the town area.
An event in which people take to the streets to celebrate and where they innovate and improvise tapas whose main actor is bluefin tuna. In this gastronomic week of the tuna you can perform cultural and recreational activities as well as being able to make a route through the bars and restaurants of the town, such as in the Chanca fairgrounds.
The hoteliers that participate will offer an innovative and unique tuna route at a promotional price of 3.50 euros for tapas and drinks, both in the Old Lonja de Barbate (located in 80 square meters), as well as in bars and restaurants of the locality.
This attractive gastronomic offer will be complemented by exhibitions of painting and photography, live performances, show-cooking with the collaboration of chefs from all over the province who will show us different ways of cooking tuna, and activities organized by local companies dedicated to the elaboration of salting and preserves, among other acts.
Those attending the XI Gastronomic Tuna Week can also participate in the draw for a dinner and boat trip for two people, and a weekend for two at the Playa Barbate Hotel. To do this, they must fill out their tapas tasting three different tapas from the La Chanca area and three others from the route through the bars and restaurants of Barbateños.
As usual, in addition to the booths where dancing and fun are guaranteed, La Chanca will also have a craft market, as well as a point of environmental sustainability. The entire site will have a free connection provided by the Cheap Wifi.
In addition, the team of “Alma de la Almadraba”, will award two prizes to the best proposals starring tuna: the most classic tapa and the most original tapa.
